Mistress D to his online following, and "just D" to his friends - this is the story of a true artist, diva, and insightful transgendered individual. He believes an artist's political and social views are just as important as their work, and holds nothing back when discussing a myriad of topics.
To clear things up a bit, D is "a woman in a man's body and loving every second of it." Inspiring, motivating and witty, this is an individual to be truly appreciated. Think Brandy Alexander (Queen Supreme) of Chuck Palahniuk's "Invisible Monsters", pick up a nice martini and relax by the pool - this is D. Labels and prejudiced opinions do not apply here, but if you're looking for an artistic soul with a good heart then you've come to the right place.
D Shellhammer has authored several books (written under his full name or
just the first initial) on historical subjects, as well as produced many poetic
and artistic renderings since the early nineties. D currently lives and works
on the West Coast, but his craft gives a tasty impression of far-reaching
travels.
